Theme 3 addresses the vital environmental imperative of sustainable, resource-efficient, and zero-waste aquaculture production. With escalating freshwater scarcity and strict environmental discharge regulations, closed-loop technologies like Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS), moving bed biofilm reactors (MBBR), and integrated aquaponics are essential to modern food security.

This session welcomes interdisciplinary research on cutting-edge nitrification/denitrification biofiltration, solid-liquid separation, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), microalgal wastewater bioremediation, and valorization of fish fecal sludge into biogas, biochar, and organic soil amendments.
